Mesirow Financial invites qualified insurance carriers to provide proposals for Property and Liability Insurance of the Rides Mass Transit District. Requests for specifications, proposal requirements, and related documents should be submitted to:

Proposal specification packages may be obtained through Rides MTD’s broker, from April 1st, 2016 through April 29, 2016 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m., May 1st, 2016 at the aforementioned address. Proposals will be opened and publicly available at Mesirow Financial on May 1st, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., and publicly available at Rides Mass Transit District office by the end of the business day on May 1st, 2016. Proposals received after the aforementioned time and date will not be accepted and shall be destroyed.

The right is reserved to accept any proposal or part or parts thereof or to reject any and all proposals.  Acceptance of any proposal is subject to concurrence by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Any contract resulting from this proposal is subject to financial assistance contracts between RMTD and the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in any procurement opportunity with RMTD.  RMTD shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability in the participation or performance of any resulting contract or agreement.

Acceptance of any proposal is contingent upon approval by the Illinois Department of Transportation and RMTD.

Rides Mass Transit District will award the contract to the most responsible, responsive bid whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the District with regard to plan benefits, service, and cost.
