Rides Mass Transit District will receive bids until 12:00 PM local prevailing time on September 16th, 2016, at 509 East Jasper Street, Paris, Illinois at which time and place the bid proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids not submitted by the deadline will be returned to the bidder unopened.
Bids will be for the following work:
Base Bid·
Base bid consists of interior lobby renovations including conference, reception and restroom space as well as new exterior siding finish along the office. Additional maintenance and repairs as outlined in the building assessment as well as new perimeter fencing are also included.
A Pre-bid meeting will be held on August 29th, 2016, at 12:00 PM, prevailing time, at Rides Mass Transit District, 509 East Jasper Street, Paris IL 61944

The Owner requires the Project to be completed in 180 calendar days from the starting date indicated on the Notice to Proceed.
Bidders will be required to provide bid security of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Sum. The bid security shall be either certified check, cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Hereinafter this bid security shall be referred to as the bid bond.
Submit two copies of your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate.
Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 90 days after submission.
Successful bidders shall be required to observe Illinois Public Act 77-1552 and the Illinois Department of
Human Rights and Illinois Human Rights Commission Rules pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity as provided for in paragraphs 2-101, et seq., Article II, Chapter 68, of the Illinois Revised Statutes; and comply with paragraph 271 of Chapter 48 of the Illinois Revised Statutes concerning the employment of citizens of the State of Illinois; and comply with Chapter 48, Sections 39s-l through 39s-12, of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended, known as the Prevailing Wage Determination, as issued by the Illinois Department of Labor.
The right is reserved to accept any bid or any part or parts thereof or to reject any and all bids. Acceptance of any bid is subject to concurrence by the Illinois Department of Transportation and the United States Department of Transportation.
The proposed basis of award for this procurement will be the lowest responsible, responsive bid.
Any contract resulting from these bids is subject to financial assistance contracts between RIDES Mass Transit District and the United States Department of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations.
