Request for Proposals

Rides Mass Transit District (RMTD) is a municipal governmental entity that provides transportation to an 18 county region in the State of Illinois. RMTD is requesting contract proposals from vendors to include pricing to provide biodiesel/B2 (at least 2% blend) and 87-octane unleaded fuels for its fleet. All fuels are eligible to be purchased from a schedule of providers under the same contract. Requests for specifications, proposal requirements, and related documents should be submitted to:

Proposal specification packages may be obtained through Rides from February 5th, 2018 through March 1st, 2018 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m., March 5th, 2018 at the aforementioned address. Proposals received after the aforementioned time and date will not be accepted.

The right is reserved to accept any proposal or part or parts thereof or to reject any and all proposals. Acceptance of any proposal is subject to concurrence by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Any contract resulting from this proposal is subject to financial assistance contracts between RMTD and the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in any procurement opportunity with RMTD. RMTD shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability in the participation or performance of any resulting contract or agreement.

Acceptance of any proposal is contingent upon approval by the Illinois Department of Transportation and RMTD.

Rides Mass Transit District will award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidders whose proposals are determined to be the most advantageous to the District.
