Rides Mass Transit District CEO Bill Jung and staff at the Crawford County operations center recently received the opportunity to display the inner-workings of the largest rural transportation district in the state to a special guest.
State Rep. Reggie Phillips (R-Charleston) toured the facility Monday. The Robinson facility provides dispatch and maintenance support for Crawford, Jasper, Cumberland and Effingham Counties.
Rides Mass Transit District serves as the public transportation provider in 18 counties in southern and east central Illinois. All together, Rides vehicles travel nearly 3.7 million miles each year while transporting over 685,000 residents of all ages.
